Welcome
metaWelcome to my first ever blog post!
Motivation
To me, writing is hard. And my main intent of writing this blog is to address this issue. More specifically, the purposes of this post (and the upcoming ones) are, for me, to practice expressing my thoughts in writing and help consolidate my memory. This post marks the starting point of a journey where I would like to write whatever I find interesting or useful, and I might revisit and read it in case I can’t remember.
If your know me personally, you can use the blogs to get an update on what I am recently up to. If you don’t know me (hi there!), I hope my writings allow you to get to know me more, even to the point where you know me more than I know you. As an introvert (self-claimed), I find reading other people’s blogs a very effective (and fun) way of getting to know them. So I really hope my blog posts can give other introverts some courage in case they want to approach me in person.
The Website
This website is organised into three parts (at least at the time of writing): a front page where I introduce myself; a collection of blogs (such as this one); and some study notes. The website is currently build with Astro. Blog posts are written in Markdown (sometimes MDX) and compiled to HTML. Notes are usually written in Typst and compiled to PDF.
Ending
Hopefully writing blog posts and study notes like this will get me somewhere meaningful. Tomorrow is my convocation ceremony, and I look forward to it.
